Education

I am currently a freshman at Washburn University. Majoring in psychology, I have aspirations of getting my Ph. D. and finding a career. Though I do not know what sub-category of psychology I want to specialize in, I do know this is the field for me. I graduated Seaman High School in May of 2015 with a 3.2 GPA. Once I have my GPA for my first semester of college I plan to update this information.

Experience

When I attended Seaman I was an English tutor. I would stay in the library after school and kids who needed help with their papers or reading would come ask for some advice. I helped many people and made a lot of friends this way. I wasn't officially a math tutor since they did not have that program at Seaman, but I did take AP Math classes and helped my peers with some of the more difficult concepts. I took the ACT and got a final cumulative score of 26. I really enjoy helping people further their knowledge and find satisfaction knowing I am the reason they now understand something.

Hobbies

Now that I am in college I have a new found interest in naps. However, when I am not trying to catch up on sleep I enjoy reading, watching Netflix movies, shooting clay pigeons, and working at the Kansas Neurological Institute. My favorite book is 1984 by George Orwell. This novel was written in 1948 and tells of an apocalyptic future. Scary enough each year this books seems to be more right about what the future entails for us. I have been an intern at KNI for several weeks now. Here I focus of the correlation between persons with down syndrome and the later development of Alzheimer's.
